Reiki is pronounced as ray-key. Which means universal life energy. Rei - meaning universal, transcendental spirit, a boundless
essence. Ki - meaning, life force energy. Every thing that is a live and has energy channels in Ki energy. Some may call Ki as chi,
prana, light, universal and or divines energy. All humans, animals, plants, minerals that has energy channels in this energy. Us as
humans channel in Chi/Ki energy. We channel this energy in through our crown chakra, the top of our head. Then the energy moves
through our body and channels our through our hands and our feet. As this energy circulates through our channels it exits through two
points. Our hands exits energy - more positive as our feet exit negative and positive energies. (as you read in my section opening and
closing the chakras in the additional information page I mention to make sure you keep your crown and feet chakras open to allow for
the connection) .
Q & A most asked about Reiki
How does Reiki have anything to do with the Chi/Ki energy? When you go through the process of either learning Reiki or receiving an
attunement, the Reiki Master puts into the crown, hands and aura of the person sacred symbols . These sacred symbols allow for the
activation of the Reiki. We all channel the Ki/Chi energy but the attunement allows for more a strong flow to enter. It is like opening a
special valve within the channels that allow for a higher vibration to enter. This higher vibration is healing energy and Ki/Chi energy.
How old is Reiki? It has been in ancient text dated back to at least 2500 years ago.
Where is Reiki from? Besides coming from the source - the universe. It is originated in India and has been also in Japan. Reiki energy
comes from above and enters the top of the practitioners head after which if flows through the body and out the hands.
Who discovered Reiki? It was rediscovered by a man named Dr. Usui in the 1800 in Japan. He in his search found the secret about
Reiki. Prior to Dr. Usui rediscovering it, it was mainly done only by monks and of like individuals and a very sacred practice.
Was Reiki always used for healing? No. It was never used originally for healing. It was used in and for every day life. It was part
of the road of enlightenment that those that used it originally before Dr. Usui time. But in order for enlightenment to happen, the
healing must have taken place in the beginning.
Do I have to join a certain religion to do Reiki? No. Reiki is not a religion. It is a universal life force energy that everyone has and
uses - if you did not use life force energy of chi/ki you would not be alive. Although Reiki energy is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a
religion. Practitioners are not asked to change any religious or spiritual beliefs they may have. They are free to continue believing
anything they choose and are encouraged to make their own decisions concerning the nature of their religious practices. Each Reiki
Master now days might teach in their belief system. Check the master out before you join their class because one may be right for your
beliefs. I teach on a energy healing level and spiritual level. In my classes students come from all walks of life and beliefs. In my class
I tell the student that I will refer to Creator/ Spirit / God / Goddess / The Source / Divine. Some of my students tell me they have
just put it in terms that they use in their belief system and it worked for them - so I pass that on to my students.
They do believe that this is how Jesus was able to heal. In ancient text they have it written (but use a different name they called Jesus,
that he was over there learning Reiki and doing Reiki) Before the 1930's women did not do Reiki as we are told. Until a woman from
Hawaii named Mrs. Takata brought this wonderful gift to United States and to woman.
In Mrs. Takata's writings she writes: 'I believe there exists One Supreme Being - the Absolute Infinite - a Dynamic Force that
governs the world and universe. It is an unseen spiritual power that vibrates and all other powers fade into insignificance beside it. So,
therefore, it is absolute! ... I shall call it "Reiki: .. Being a universal force from the Great Divine Spirit, it belongs to all who seek and
desire to learn the art of healing. '
Questions to ask yourself when you are thinking of taking a Reiki course.
Should I study Reiki at this time?
Do I feel in my heart that I should study with this person?
Is this person a good learning partner for me?
Does the teacher respond in a loving manner that is supportive and empowering (for you)?

What do you cover in your classes? In my classes I teach how you can use the energy for yourself in your everyday life to empower
you and also in a healing energy. My teachings are based on today’s energy and what we are dealing with in the present and into the
future. In my classes: Reiki 1 things that you will learn: history of Reiki, what is Reiki, energy protection, clearing and cleansing, learn
about the chakras, essential oils for healing and the chakras, affirmations, mantras, crystals and other information related to the chakras
for healing, what to do during releasments and healing times, hand positions on yourself and others and grounding. Also, there is a
meditation, first level attunement, a booklet on level one, a certificate that you completed this level, receive a link to my website on a
meditation for you to listen to for self healing, group healing session and discussions. Reiki 2 things that you will learn: the three
symbols; learning the meaning, drawing them in different ways, feeling, sensing and sending energy, long distant healing and four ways
to do it, receiving intuitive yes and no answers for sending healing to receive permission and the microcosmic orbit. Also, there is a

symbols, how to draw them and the meanings and how to give an attunement. Also, each student will give and receive attunements to
each other, a meditation, a booklet on this level, a certificate that you completed this level, learn ways of teaching, my philosophy and
discussion.
How many hours of class time is there? Reiki 1 class usually is from 9 am till approx. 5 pm depending on class size and participation.
Reiki 2 class usually is from 9 am till approx. 3 pm depending on class size and participation. Reiki 3 class usually is from 12 noon till
approx 5 pm.
How much time is instructional and how much is hands-on practice? In the level one class, most of the time you will be hearing
me teach and approximately, depending on class size, 3 hours or more on hands on practice. Level two class, most of the class is hands
on learning from healing and doing the things that you learn in class while I am speaking about the information. (all of my classes is and
required to participate and interact with each other in the class. If you prefer a private class, contact me for rates). Level 3 class is
mostly a hands on interacting class. During leaning from me teaching you will be doing the symbols and attunements.
What should I expect from an attunement? Once the individual is attuned, it stays with them for the rest of their lives. The first
attunement, you will start feeling the heat (chi channel opening and activating) in the hands/palm of the hand. Everyone is different on
what they can expect for the healing process of the attunement. (each individual deals with different things and has different healing
that needs to be done, so healing can be different ways of releasments). After the first attunement, this usually takes at least the first
month, a healing process of the individual. Some individuals even start to increase or notice psychic / intuitive development. This
happens when you start clearing and healing the chakra system. Hands on work for yourself or others is very important during that day
and for the first month to be able to get use to this new energy and allowing the energy to flow freely. Level two attunement is a
feeling of putting you in a higher vibration channeling. In this level you have the ability to send energy to others across the earth. At
this point the learning of the symbols is taken place. This attunement gives power to the symbols as level one does not for the
individual. The student is more susceptible to sensing energy. (being able to sense positive and negative energy) If a student waited
longer than a couple of months for taking the class or even longer and they should have taken this next level, the feed back that I get is
that they feel like they are disconnected or stuck. This means that you need to proceed to the next level two. Not all are meant or
need to go on to this level, but those that do explain it that way. Then when they receive the attunement, its like putting them in a sling
shot and moves them forward very fast. A complete connection forward. Level three attunement allows for the student to be able to
pass attunements on to others. Before this level, preparation for the class is extremely important to be able to channel this high
vibration. With practice and gradually doing attunements, the student is able to start to teach or attune more individuals, nature, animals
and etc.
What are your fees? Level 1 and 2 each are $75 Level 3/master is $125
Why do some Masters charge large amounts of money? Years ago when Reiki and the symbols were considered more of a secret to
a few or those that learned it and by the traditional way, they charged a lot of money for it. Then someone published a book over 15
yrs ago and shown the world the sacred / secret symbols, the meaning of Reiki and how to do it for everyone to learn and heal. Which
it should be. At that point everyone was learning Reiki and doing Reiki. With more teachers the price went down. I remember when I
started out almost 20 yrs ago that level one was $300, level 2 was $700 and Master/level 3 was $10000. Reiki is a gift from the universe
and should not be charged with those high prices no longer.
Can I receive an attunement long distant or not in the presence of the Reiki Master? No. You have to be in the presence of the
master to have them in your aura field to receive the attunement. The last symbol that is done after the aura is closed, disconnects the
Master from the student. If the person is not present it can not be done by sending and directing the energy (part by breathing into the
students crown and chakras). I personally do not recommend anyone to do this, to me its not an attunement. There are many teachers
in every state and country to learn by. You maybe surprised when you think there maybe none around.
How long should I wait between levels of Reiki training? Level 1 I recommend waiting a month. The student must go through a
healing process during this time. It is very important, even if its only for ten minutes a day, to do healing on themselves. During this
time, they get use to the energy and the new channeled energy gets use to you. Your physical, emotional and spiritual bodies change
and adjust to the higher vibrations. Level 2 I recommend waiting about six months before going on to the last level. During this time a
releasments may happen later. The individual could release things from past life or stronger releasments. But with the information
given during the class and the healing work/using the energy during the prior time and attunements, the student can process and heal
what comes through. The student must memories the three symbols. (in the past before Reiki symbols were published in the book, the
student could not leave the class with them written down. Because they were not to show anyone it. They had to memorize the
symbols. I would think how many did not have them correct ~ that is a thought). In my level two class I show ways of preparing for
the class about a month before taking it and certain things within the two weeks before the class. I also do not recommend anyone that
takes more than one level without waiting the time length in between each. There must be healing work on the student and practicing
using the energy and getting use to the energy. They never did their inner work or their physical, emotional or spiritual bodies did not
go through the process that was suppose to be gone through. At that point when a master does a back to back class for a student(s) in a
weekend or week, it was not for the highest good of the student, but the pocket of the master.
What is the availability for support from you after I take this training? I do allow for the student to contact me with a question
regarding what they have learned or experiencing. Before the level two and three class, the students will share how their experience in
the healing process has been for them. Also, I do offer healing sessions and I do keep my costs very reasonable so that every one, not
only students, can experience healing if need be. From time to time I will also do Reiki shares for my students and others.
Is it important to practice on yourself after receiving the attunements? Yes. It is very important. I have had students that did not
even do the work on themselves and come to the next level. Just because you receive an attunement does not mean that you do not
have to use the energy. It does not work that way. You still have to send, direct or do the energy work. It will show in the students
energy field and through the way they channel the energy. Even if you have gone through the master level you should still be doing
healing work on yourself or others, including nature.
Do you accept other students from other teachers to take your levels? Yes. With proper information that you took the prior level, I
will accept another student. Example: if a student wants to take level two with me and took level one with someone else. But I do not
review how I taught level one or the previous levels. If the student wants to learn the way I have taught they must take my class. I do
teach a lot in my classes and have received comments from students that have taken from other teachers that they felt they missed a lot
that could have assisted them in learning. Some students that I have had from other teachers, even master level students that took
master class, did not even go through a healing process or know what or experienced releasments. Their energies did not flow freely
or strongly. With my students, everyone that did their healing work, had releasments of blocks that were within them either daily or
most everyday. But by doing so, their vibrations were stronger with removing the blocks and bringing more light within their selves.
How long have you been working with Reiki? I have been doing Reiki for almost 20 years now.
What training have you had? I have had my three levels within a year time.
How often do you teach? Usually, and sometimes more, I teach each level once a month.
How do you personally use Reiki? I do Reiki daily. Everyone should do it at least five minutes a day. Even if you need the healing
or not, your bring and increasing your vibration with light by doing it. Plus, it’s a great way to end the day before you go to sleep and
will have you falling a sleep more easily.
What is your lineage? I did not keep track of my teachers lineage. I really don’t feel that is important. What is important is who you
go to that teaches you. Are they a clear or high vibration individual is most important and will show in the attunements that they give. If
you took Reiki then we all came from Dr. Usui lineage since he is the one that rediscover it from the east and allowed it to be taught
and used by others.
What qualifications are required to take Reiki Training? There are no qualifications to take Reiki, only the willingness to learn, heal
and grow on many different levels. Each class is taken in sequence.
Do I have to take more than level one or two to do Reiki? No. I have many students that have only taken level one or two
because that is all they needed at that time. Some have only taken one because they were using it on themselves to heal major illnesses
in there lives. (and great to hear that most have over came them completely or in some way).
What are the specific things I will be able to do after taking the training? One of the major things will be to start healing yourself
and working on yourself to clear / heal issues on a mind / body / Spirit level. You can also share your energy with others by doing
healing work on them. I recommend using level one to practice on channeling the energy and healing work before doing it on the
public. I usually recommend level two and three for those that to do it in groups or individuals other than friends and family. Also,
using the energy to work on plants, nature and animals. I do Reiki on my gardens at least a few times a week and sometimes everyday
when I am doing gardening work. The energy flows out of your hands naturally to mother earth. My gardens show the benefit of the
healing energy. Even clearing the energy of your crystals and home can be done with Reiki.
Will I get a certificate and a manual? I issue a certificate of completion when you are leaving the class. During the class you are
given a booklet with all the information that we discussed. This is done so that your complete attention is on the teaching of the class
and not missing out on anything that I am teaching. Very rarely will I say take notes, because everything is written down. Also, on my
website you will be given a link to a web page going over that level you took.
How many symbols will I learn? In level two you learn three and in the third/master class you will learn two more. I also teach the
alternative and ancient symbols of master level. This is for the student to decide if they feel more power with a alternative or ancient
symbol.
Does insurance cover Reiki Treatments? You may want to check with your insurance company on regards to this. But you would
probably have to submit it yourself if they do because most health care laws in each state differ on who can file claims. Also, a lot of
states have changed of who can do hands on healing, especially Florida, they have to be a licensed health care provider like a massage
therapist, nurse, doctor, etc. that could do the treatment to qualify for doing the treatment.
Is there a license you need to practice and teach Reiki? You would have to check your states department of health and regulations
to find out. In Florida, its under the Licensed Massage Therapist scope of practice to be able to touch and manipulate the auric field.
Nurses can do it but under the supervision of a doctor or medical facility and being paid through them and not collecting on their own.
Otherwise, and like most states, if you do not touch the body or stay more than 4 - 6 inches from the body (auric field) you can do it.
Check your state for their laws regarding this.
Can anybody be able to receive a Reiki attunement? The answer would be mostly yes. The only time that an attunement would not
work would be if the person that is receiving it did not want it. You are probably scratching your head now wondering what I mean.
For an example: someone comes to a class and brings a friend. This friend is unsure about it and is only going for the friend. But
somewhere inside does not really want to do it. That unsure, doubt or does not want to do it would not allow the attunement to take
place. The person would need to want it. So what would happen if they change their mind and wants it? Well the vibration is in their
aura for about three days. At that time they can choose to accept the attunement and they will activate. After that period of time they
would need to be attuned again.
Another one would be doubt that it worked. Doubting is our biggest downfall.
Also, someone that heavily smokes might have a problem receiving an attunement. This is because the vibration of the symbols must
be in the aura. The aura of a smoker is weak and not strong.
Then the last reason would be some one that was criminally insane. A pure evil in nature. Well can probably tell you that most evil
individuals/souls would not want light pumped into them or be in the presence of allot of light. They would not be able to
comfortable in that situation and would fight it.
How long does the attunement last? It is with you for a life time as it never goes away. The gift is there for you to tune into it to
use it when you are sick or need that boost in energy.
Do Reiki practitioners heal people? Ethically, no one, including Reiki practitioners should not take credit for the healing. The
healing is being done by the universe that is supplying the chi/ki energy and the individual that is receiving the treatment. As they are
the healers and are in control of the outcome. No one that is doing healing work can honestly tell you the outcome of the healing
other than it will make the person calm. As the calm state will be the first benefit that the individual that is receiving the healing will
experience. The person doing the Reiki is only a channeler for the healing energy. The universe needs us to do this work so others
can heal and enlighten when needed.
The energy needs a vessel to go through. - If someone is taking credit for the healing - they are on a ego trip and still needs more
healing and learning on themselves. As a Reiki practitioner it is a blessing to be present in the blessings and miracles that can occur.
Does Reiki completely heal everyone? Reiki will heal at the level that is needed and willed by the individual and the universe at that
time. If it heals on the mind/body/spirit level it will heal what is needed. Remember that in all healing - letting go of the issue,
emotions and attachments to the cause the beginning what caused the block must take place for a complete healing to take place. For
example: If a person keeps on having re-occurring colds - as this is dealing with the heart chakra and mostly deals with relationships
from past to present. The person is still hurt by a loss in a relationship this is a block within the chakra. So the individual gets colds a
lot. The person goes in for a healing, unless they let go of that block and all that is attached to it the healing will not fully take place.
Now this goes with free will. Its the individuals free will to let go or keep things. - The answer to this is if the person wants to heal
completely they would want to let go. Remember we only hurt ourselves if we do not let go. The energy that is blocking - will only
destroy/harm you. It will not help you.
Reiki will heal on some level if it be a emotional, physical or spiritual level.
One biggest faults of people doing healing work is they second guess if its working - or other words doubt. Once you doubt you loss
faith. You must have faith and trust it is working in order for it to work.
How do I know who is right for my to teach me or treat me? I do get e-mails and calls from those that are not near by for my
classes or sessions. Check out my page on "What to look for in a healer, teacher .. and follow the guidelines on what it says. Remember
once you have found a teacher, the simplest and best advice is to follow your heart. Listen to your inner voice ... Is this connection
right for me?
How many levels are there in Reiki? There are three levels.
The first level is level one. What is known as ‘healer heal thy self - before you heal others’. Which should be a practice for all that
do it professionally. Then there is level two. At this level you receive another attunement that will bring you into enough power to be
able to do stronger healing work. Also, you will be able to do distant healing. Then there is the third level. Which is considered the
Master level. This level you are able to give attunements.
What can I expect out of the first level class? In level one you will receive your first attunement. (in my description of the class
will give you all the things that I include in my class and more) Be shown ways of doing healing on self, others, plants and animals etc.
Discussion of what to expect during the first month. Which is inner healing work that will take place. This is called releasments.
What will I expect out of my second level class? You will receive your second attunement. (in my description of the class will give
you all the things that I include in my class and more) Learn the three of the five symbols for level two. Be shown how to use them in
your everyday life and in healing. Also, learn distant healing. Distant healing is sending healing energy to a person, animal etc that is
not present with you at that time. With the second attunement you have enough power and strength to send distant healing. Also, learn
ethical responsibility to do healing work on others and in distant healing. Be shown exercises to prepare the student if they want to
continue into the third level.
What should I expect out of my third level class? You will receive your third attunement. Learn the last of the symbols. Also, learn
how to pass an attunement. Each student would practice on other students in class on passing attunements. Discussion on teaching
Reiki and guidelines. My class description will give you all the things I include in this class.
Do I have to teach Reiki to go to the third level? No. Not all level three / Master level teach Reiki. It is designed to assist in the
raising your vibration level. To help in the awakening and enlightenment process. Some do it just for that empowerment. Also, to help
others and the earth.
Should Reiki be done to only people? NO. (big no!) everything needs it. We are the caregivers of the earth. Send healing to the
earth, plants, animals etc. Just by going outside - sitting down and directing your hands to the desired thing that you want the energy to
go to it will flow through.
Do I have to touch to do Reiki? No, very effective by being away from the person, plant etc. Actually, by staying away from the
body you work with more energy levels of the aura and at times more healing can take place. (also, if you are in Florida, with their laws
of touching and Massage Therapy - you are able to do Reiki if you stay away from the body 4 - 6 inches without having a LMT license)
Check with your state that you live in since most are adapting these types of laws.
What if I feel that I healed the issues with Reiki can or should I still use it? Yes. Reiki will enhance your life. It increases the
light energy/vibration rate. By doing the Reiki on the chakras, it will assist in the development of the energy centers.
How long should I wait in between each class? For level one it is recommended at least one month. The releasement / healing
within you must take place in order to properly channel this energy. Then waiting after level two at least six months. This is because
of the deeper levels of healing to take place. Also, the karmic healing to be healed. Practicing on healing others, self etc needs to
happen. The prep work for level two also needs to be done which takes time and done adequately before you start attunements.
What about the weekend courses for Reiki to do two or more levels at once? Not recommended. You have not learned and gotten
use to the energy nor it has within you. Also, the healing work did not take place within the person and all of the practicing,
apprenticing and mastering each level before starting another one. Only one that advanced from this was the Master and their pocket.
Not the student at all. Most students are not even channeling in proper energy without doing the inner work with all the levels that
was needed. Beware of those that are offering ‘quick fixes’ for degrees in Reiki or anything.
What is hot hands I hear about? Hot hands that people talk about are the energy that comes out of the chi/ki channel of a healer.
This is the higher vibration that is the healing energy. High vibration is warm to hot energy. Cold energy is a low vibration. You can
tell a Reiki practitioner by their hot hands.
Can anyone receive Reiki energy? Yes. Remember Reiki can not hurt you. The universe will shut the Reiki energy off that is being
channeled through. There is no manipulation of the tissue or body that should be taken place during a treatment. It is done hands on
the body or 'laying of the hands' on the body - by touch only - no pressure. There are certain symbol that would not be used by the
practitioner if a person has cancer, growth etc. & with the proper training they would learn that.
Can I catch something from someone by doing healing work? No. You can not catch a energy transference of an illness from
another. In my class I teach protecting your energy field while you are doing healing work on yourself or others. You can not catch
aids, cancer etc by doing healing work. These are the individuals that need you the most.
Should those that are terminally ill or near death receive Reiki? Yes. I could not stress enough importance on this. Remember
that it is up to Creator/Divine and the person in their soul contract when their crossing will be and when their lessons; including
illnesses etc will be. But the one thing that Reiki does is but the person that is receiving its blessings in a peaceful state if anything at
all. It calms them and puts them in peace. It will not take the individual to the other side, but will assist in the easing the fear of the
unknown that is there. I make it appoint to teach my students to do healing work on the sick, terminally ill and elderly individuals.
Also, attuning those that are at this stage will be great benefit to them. A deep inner peace usually takes place.
Is it safe for babies and children to receive Reiki? Yes. It is very safe for them to receive treatments. The only thing is that they do
not need as long of session of treatment as an adult does. There physical mass is smaller so they are not as dense mass as an adult. I
recommend for small children any where from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. Older children about 15 - 30 minutes for a treatment. I also
do attunements on children from birth and up in age. By doing so this allows for them to heal throughout their lives. It is a blessing to
see how they attune very fast - little hot hands.
Can I still use my other therapies that I do with Reiki? Yes. Reiki will enhance anything that you are doing and using. It increases
the power of the person that is channeling the energy. If its acupuncture, acupressure, crystals, essential oils etc, using Reiki with it will
raise the energy level of it. A wonderful additional benefit. Reiki works in conjunction with regular medical or psychological treatment.
If one has a medical or psychological condition, it is recommended that one see a licensed health care professional in addition to
receiving Reiki treatments. Reiki energy works in harmony with all other forms of healing, including drugs, surgery, psychological care
or any other method of alternative care and will improve the results.
Is Reiki safe? Yes, Reiki is very safe. Reiki energy is pure positive energy and can not do harm. It is safe for anyone and for any
situations including pregnant women and children.
What is the difference of Reiki from other forms of healing methods? Reiki is a form of healing that is channeled through the
practitioner that has received special attunements in order to channel in higher frequencies of energy.
Is Reiki a religion? No. It is not a religion. It is very spiritual in nature, but there is no belief required in order to learn and use it. The
beauty of Reiki is that it will work regardless of what you believe in.
What are Reiki Symbols? They are tools to help direct energy. The symbols are learned in levels two and three.
Is Reiki open to everyone? Yes everyone can be initiated into Reiki.
How is a Reiki treatment given? In a standard treatment Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. The client is
usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The client remains fully
clothed. The practitioner places her/his hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions. These include positions around
the head and shoulders, the stomach, and feet. Other, more specific positions may be used based on the clients needs. Each position is
held for three to ten minutes depending on how much Reiki the client needs at each position. The whole treatment usually lasts no
longer than an hour.
Can I treat myself with Reiki? Yes. If you received your Reiki I by laying on your hands on your body you can enjoy all the benefits
of Reiki. Self-healing will re-balance and center your body-mind-spirit connection.
How can one be attuned to Reiki? Reiki attunements are received from a Reiki Master who is channeling/passing Reiki
frequencies/energy into the initiates aura/energy body.
What can be treated with Reiki? Reiki has had a positive affect on all forms of illness and negative conditions. This includes minor
things like head or stomach aches, bee stings, colds, flu, tension and anxiety as well as serious illness like heart disease, cancer,
leukemia, etc. The side effects of regular medical treatments have also been reduced or eliminated. This includes the negative effects of
chemotherapy, post operative pain and depression as well as improving the healing rate and reducing the time needed to stay in the
hospital. Reiki always helps and in some cases people have experienced complete healings which have been confirmed by medical tests
before and after the Reiki treatments. However, while some have experienced miracles, they cannot be guaranteed. Stress reduction
with some improvement in ones physical and psychological condition are what most experience.
What does a Reiki treatment feel like? What one experiences during a Reiki treatment varies somewhat from person to person.
However, feelings of deep relaxation are usually felt by all. In addition, many feel a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and
surrounds them. As the Reiki energy encourages one to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings a state of peace and
well-being is experienced. Some drift off to sleep or report floating outside their bodies or have visions and other mystical experiences.
At the end of the treatment, one feels refreshed with a more positive and balanced outlook.
Can I treat myself? Yes, once you have received the attunement, you can treat yourself as well as others. This is one of the unique
features of Reiki.
I have heard that Reiki can be sent to others at a distance. How does this work? Yes, in Reiki II, you are given three Reiki
symbols. These symbols are empowered by the Reiki II attunement. One of these symbols is for distant healing. By using different
forms of proxies for the person and the a certain Reiki symbol for a activating the distant healing, you can send Reiki to them no matter
where they are. They could be hundreds of miles away, but it makes no difference. The Reiki energy will go to them and treat them.
You can also send Reiki to crisis situations or world leaders and the Reiki energy will help them too.
Can Reiki be used on animals and plants? Animals respond faster to Reiki than humans. Plants also respond well, because they are
living energy fields that can be out of balance.
Can children learn Reiki? Yes, Reiki can be taught to anyone. I recommend that a child be old enough to understand what Reiki is and
that the child request to receive Reiki.
Can Reiki be used with other therapies? Yes. It can be combined with other complementary therapies very successfully. Reiki will
enhance their effects. It can also be used to complement the health care you receive in hospitals or other health care providers.
Are there any sensations during or after the Reiki treatment? It depends on the individual. You might not feel anything, but this
does not mean that Reiki is not working . On the other hand, you might have sensations during or after the treatment such as: heat, cold,
tingling, buzzing, relaxation, sleepiness, or other. It is important to drink lots of water to aid the cleansing of the body.
essence. Ki - meaning, life force energy. Every thing that is a live and has energy channels in Ki energy. Some may call Ki as chi,
prana, light, universal and or divines energy. All humans, animals, plants, minerals that has energy channels in this energy. Us as
humans channel in Chi/Ki energy. We channel this energy in through our crown chakra, the top of our head. Then the energy moves
through our body and channels our through our hands and our feet. As this energy circulates through our channels it exits through two
points. Our hands exits energy - more positive as our feet exit negative and positive energies. (as you read in my section opening and
closing the chakras in the additional information page I mention to make sure you keep your crown and feet chakras open to allow for
the connection) .
Q & A most asked about Reiki
How does Reiki have anything to do with the Chi/Ki energy? When you go through the process of either learning Reiki or receiving an
attunement, the Reiki Master puts into the crown, hands and aura of the person sacred symbols . These sacred symbols allow for the
activation of the Reiki. We all channel the Ki/Chi energy but the attunement allows for more a strong flow to enter. It is like opening a
special valve within the channels that allow for a higher vibration to enter. This higher vibration is healing energy and Ki/Chi energy.
How old is Reiki? It has been in ancient text dated back to at least 2500 years ago.
Where is Reiki from? Besides coming from the source - the universe. It is originated in India and has been also in Japan. Reiki energy
comes from above and enters the top of the practitioners head after which if flows through the body and out the hands.
Who discovered Reiki? It was rediscovered by a man named Dr. Usui in the 1800 in Japan. He in his search found the secret about
Reiki. Prior to Dr. Usui rediscovering it, it was mainly done only by monks and of like individuals and a very sacred practice.
Was Reiki always used for healing? No. It was never used originally for healing. It was used in and for every day life. It was part
of the road of enlightenment that those that used it originally before Dr. Usui time. But in order for enlightenment to happen, the
healing must have taken place in the beginning.
Do I have to join a certain religion to do Reiki? No. Reiki is not a religion. It is a universal life force energy that everyone has and
uses - if you did not use life force energy of chi/ki you would not be alive. Although Reiki energy is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a
religion. Practitioners are not asked to change any religious or spiritual beliefs they may have. They are free to continue believing
anything they choose and are encouraged to make their own decisions concerning the nature of their religious practices. Each Reiki
Master now days might teach in their belief system. Check the master out before you join their class because one may be right for your
beliefs. I teach on a energy healing level and spiritual level. In my classes students come from all walks of life and beliefs. In my class
I tell the student that I will refer to Creator/ Spirit / God / Goddess / The Source / Divine. Some of my students tell me they have
just put it in terms that they use in their belief system and it worked for them - so I pass that on to my students.
They do believe that this is how Jesus was able to heal. In ancient text they have it written (but use a different name they called Jesus,
that he was over there learning Reiki and doing Reiki) Before the 1930's women did not do Reiki as we are told. Until a woman from
Hawaii named Mrs. Takata brought this wonderful gift to United States and to woman.
In Mrs. Takata's writings she writes: 'I believe there exists One Supreme Being - the Absolute Infinite - a Dynamic Force that
governs the world and universe. It is an unseen spiritual power that vibrates and all other powers fade into insignificance beside it. So,
therefore, it is absolute! ... I shall call it "Reiki: .. Being a universal force from the Great Divine Spirit, it belongs to all who seek and
desire to learn the art of healing. '

What do you cover in your classes? In my classes I teach how you can use the energy for yourself in your everyday life to empower
you and also in a healing energy. My teachings are based on today’s energy and what we are dealing with in the present and into the
future. In my classes: Reiki 1 things that you will learn: history of Reiki, what is Reiki, energy protection, clearing and cleansing, learn

How many hours of class time is there? Reiki 1 class usually is from 9 am till approx. 5 pm depending on class size and participation.
Reiki 2 class usually is from 9 am till approx. 3 pm depending on class size and participation. Reiki 3 class usually is from 12 noon till
approx 5 pm.
How much time is instructional and how much is hands-on practice? In the level one class, most of the time you will be hearing
me teach and approximately, depending on class size, 3 hours or more on hands on practice. Level two class, most of the class is hands
on learning from healing and doing the things that you learn in class while I am speaking about the information. (all of my classes is and
required to participate and interact with each other in the class. If you prefer a private class, contact me for rates). Level 3 class is
mostly a hands on interacting class. During leaning from me teaching you will be doing the symbols and attunements.
What should I expect from an attunement? Once the individual is attuned, it stays with them for the rest of their lives. The first
attunement, you will start feeling the heat (chi channel opening and activating) in the hands/palm of the hand. Everyone is different on
what they can expect for the healing process of the attunement. (each individual deals with different things and has different healing
that needs to be done, so healing can be different ways of releasments). After the first attunement, this usually takes at least the first
month, a healing process of the individual. Some individuals even start to increase or notice psychic / intuitive development. This
happens when you start clearing and healing the chakra system. Hands on work for yourself or others is very important during that day
and for the first month to be able to get use to this new energy and allowing the energy to flow freely. Level two attunement is a
feeling of putting you in a higher vibration channeling. In this level you have the ability to send energy to others across the earth. At
this point the learning of the symbols is taken place. This attunement gives power to the symbols as level one does not for the
individual. The student is more susceptible to sensing energy. (being able to sense positive and negative energy) If a student waited
longer than a couple of months for taking the class or even longer and they should have taken this next level, the feed back that I get is
that they feel like they are disconnected or stuck. This means that you need to proceed to the next level two. Not all are meant or
need to go on to this level, but those that do explain it that way. Then when they receive the attunement, its like putting them in a sling
shot and moves them forward very fast. A complete connection forward. Level three attunement allows for the student to be able to
pass attunements on to others. Before this level, preparation for the class is extremely important to be able to channel this high
vibration. With practice and gradually doing attunements, the student is able to start to teach or attune more individuals, nature, animals
and etc.
What are your fees? Level 1 and 2 each are $75 Level 3/master is $125
Why do some Masters charge large amounts of money? Years ago when Reiki and the symbols were considered more of a secret to
a few or those that learned it and by the traditional way, they charged a lot of money for it. Then someone published a book over 15
yrs ago and shown the world the sacred / secret symbols, the meaning of Reiki and how to do it for everyone to learn and heal. Which
it should be. At that point everyone was learning Reiki and doing Reiki. With more teachers the price went down. I remember when I
started out almost 20 yrs ago that level one was $300, level 2 was $700 and Master/level 3 was $10000. Reiki is a gift from the universe
and should not be charged with those high prices no longer.
Can I receive an attunement long distant or not in the presence of the Reiki Master? No. You have to be in the presence of the
master to have them in your aura field to receive the attunement. The last symbol that is done after the aura is closed, disconnects the
Master from the student. If the person is not present it can not be done by sending and directing the energy (part by breathing into the
students crown and chakras). I personally do not recommend anyone to do this, to me its not an attunement. There are many teachers
in every state and country to learn by. You maybe surprised when you think there maybe none around.
How long should I wait between levels of Reiki training? Level 1 I recommend waiting a month. The student must go through a
healing process during this time. It is very important, even if its only for ten minutes a day, to do healing on themselves. During this
time, they get use to the energy and the new channeled energy gets use to you. Your physical, emotional and spiritual bodies change
and adjust to the higher vibrations. Level 2 I recommend waiting about six months before going on to the last level. During this time a
releasments may happen later. The individual could release things from past life or stronger releasments. But with the information
given during the class and the healing work/using the energy during the prior time and attunements, the student can process and heal
what comes through. The student must memories the three symbols. (in the past before Reiki symbols were published in the book, the
student could not leave the class with them written down. Because they were not to show anyone it. They had to memorize the
symbols. I would think how many did not have them correct ~ that is a thought). In my level two class I show ways of preparing for
the class about a month before taking it and certain things within the two weeks before the class. I also do not recommend anyone that
takes more than one level without waiting the time length in between each. There must be healing work on the student and practicing
using the energy and getting use to the energy. They never did their inner work or their physical, emotional or spiritual bodies did not
go through the process that was suppose to be gone through. At that point when a master does a back to back class for a student(s) in a
weekend or week, it was not for the highest good of the student, but the pocket of the master.
What is the availability for support from you after I take this training? I do allow for the student to contact me with a question
regarding what they have learned or experiencing. Before the level two and three class, the students will share how their experience in
the healing process has been for them. Also, I do offer healing sessions and I do keep my costs very reasonable so that every one, not
only students, can experience healing if need be. From time to time I will also do Reiki shares for my students and others.
Is it important to practice on yourself after receiving the attunements? Yes. It is very important. I have had students that did not
even do the work on themselves and come to the next level. Just because you receive an attunement does not mean that you do not
have to use the energy. It does not work that way. You still have to send, direct or do the energy work. It will show in the students
energy field and through the way they channel the energy. Even if you have gone through the master level you should still be doing
healing work on yourself or others, including nature.
Do you accept other students from other teachers to take your levels? Yes. With proper information that you took the prior level, I
will accept another student. Example: if a student wants to take level two with me and took level one with someone else. But I do not
review how I taught level one or the previous levels. If the student wants to learn the way I have taught they must take my class. I do
teach a lot in my classes and have received comments from students that have taken from other teachers that they felt they missed a lot
that could have assisted them in learning. Some students that I have had from other teachers, even master level students that took
master class, did not even go through a healing process or know what or experienced releasments. Their energies did not flow freely
or strongly. With my students, everyone that did their healing work, had releasments of blocks that were within them either daily or
most everyday. But by doing so, their vibrations were stronger with removing the blocks and bringing more light within their selves.
How long have you been working with Reiki? I have been doing Reiki for almost 20 years now.
What training have you had? I have had my three levels within a year time.
How often do you teach? Usually, and sometimes more, I teach each level once a month.
How do you personally use Reiki? I do Reiki daily. Everyone should do it at least five minutes a day. Even if you need the healing
or not, your bring and increasing your vibration with light by doing it. Plus, it’s a great way to end the day before you go to sleep and
will have you falling a sleep more easily.
What is your lineage? I did not keep track of my teachers lineage. I really don’t feel that is important. What is important is who you
go to that teaches you. Are they a clear or high vibration individual is most important and will show in the attunements that they give. If
you took Reiki then we all came from Dr. Usui lineage since he is the one that rediscover it from the east and allowed it to be taught
and used by others.
What qualifications are required to take Reiki Training? There are no qualifications to take Reiki, only the willingness to learn, heal
and grow on many different levels. Each class is taken in sequence.
Do I have to take more than level one or two to do Reiki? No. I have many students that have only taken level one or two
because that is all they needed at that time. Some have only taken one because they were using it on themselves to heal major illnesses
in there lives. (and great to hear that most have over came them completely or in some way).
What are the specific things I will be able to do after taking the training? One of the major things will be to start healing yourself
and working on yourself to clear / heal issues on a mind / body / Spirit level. You can also share your energy with others by doing
healing work on them. I recommend using level one to practice on channeling the energy and healing work before doing it on the
public. I usually recommend level two and three for those that to do it in groups or individuals other than friends and family. Also,
using the energy to work on plants, nature and animals. I do Reiki on my gardens at least a few times a week and sometimes everyday
when I am doing gardening work. The energy flows out of your hands naturally to mother earth. My gardens show the benefit of the
healing energy. Even clearing the energy of your crystals and home can be done with Reiki.
Will I get a certificate and a manual? I issue a certificate of completion when you are leaving the class. During the class you are
given a booklet with all the information that we discussed. This is done so that your complete attention is on the teaching of the class
and not missing out on anything that I am teaching. Very rarely will I say take notes, because everything is written down. Also, on my
website you will be given a link to a web page going over that level you took.
How many symbols will I learn? In level two you learn three and in the third/master class you will learn two more. I also teach the
alternative and ancient symbols of master level. This is for the student to decide if they feel more power with a alternative or ancient
symbol.
Does insurance cover Reiki Treatments? You may want to check with your insurance company on regards to this. But you would
probably have to submit it yourself if they do because most health care laws in each state differ on who can file claims. Also, a lot of
states have changed of who can do hands on healing, especially Florida, they have to be a licensed health care provider like a massage
therapist, nurse, doctor, etc. that could do the treatment to qualify for doing the treatment.
Is there a license you need to practice and teach Reiki? You would have to check your states department of health and regulations
to find out. In Florida, its under the Licensed Massage Therapist scope of practice to be able to touch and manipulate the auric field.
Nurses can do it but under the supervision of a doctor or medical facility and being paid through them and not collecting on their own.
Otherwise, and like most states, if you do not touch the body or stay more than 4 - 6 inches from the body (auric field) you can do it.
Check your state for their laws regarding this.
Can anybody be able to receive a Reiki attunement? The answer would be mostly yes. The only time that an attunement would not
work would be if the person that is receiving it did not want it. You are probably scratching your head now wondering what I mean.
For an example: someone comes to a class and brings a friend. This friend is unsure about it and is only going for the friend. But
somewhere inside does not really want to do it. That unsure, doubt or does not want to do it would not allow the attunement to take
place. The person would need to want it. So what would happen if they change their mind and wants it? Well the vibration is in their
aura for about three days. At that time they can choose to accept the attunement and they will activate. After that period of time they
would need to be attuned again.
Another one would be doubt that it worked. Doubting is our biggest downfall.
Also, someone that heavily smokes might have a problem receiving an attunement. This is because the vibration of the symbols must
be in the aura. The aura of a smoker is weak and not strong.
Then the last reason would be some one that was criminally insane. A pure evil in nature. Well can probably tell you that most evil
individuals/souls would not want light pumped into them or be in the presence of allot of light. They would not be able to
comfortable in that situation and would fight it.
How long does the attunement last? It is with you for a life time as it never goes away. The gift is there for you to tune into it to
use it when you are sick or need that boost in energy.
Do Reiki practitioners heal people? Ethically, no one, including Reiki practitioners should not take credit for the healing. The
healing is being done by the universe that is supplying the chi/ki energy and the individual that is receiving the treatment. As they are
the healers and are in control of the outcome. No one that is doing healing work can honestly tell you the outcome of the healing
other than it will make the person calm. As the calm state will be the first benefit that the individual that is receiving the healing will
experience. The person doing the Reiki is only a channeler for the healing energy. The universe needs us to do this work so others
can heal and enlighten when needed.
The energy needs a vessel to go through. - If someone is taking credit for the healing - they are on a ego trip and still needs more
healing and learning on themselves. As a Reiki practitioner it is a blessing to be present in the blessings and miracles that can occur.
Does Reiki completely heal everyone? Reiki will heal at the level that is needed and willed by the individual and the universe at that
time. If it heals on the mind/body/spirit level it will heal what is needed. Remember that in all healing - letting go of the issue,
emotions and attachments to the cause the beginning what caused the block must take place for a complete healing to take place. For
example: If a person keeps on having re-occurring colds - as this is dealing with the heart chakra and mostly deals with relationships
from past to present. The person is still hurt by a loss in a relationship this is a block within the chakra. So the individual gets colds a
lot. The person goes in for a healing, unless they let go of that block and all that is attached to it the healing will not fully take place.
Now this goes with free will. Its the individuals free will to let go or keep things. - The answer to this is if the person wants to heal
completely they would want to let go. Remember we only hurt ourselves if we do not let go. The energy that is blocking - will only
destroy/harm you. It will not help you.
Reiki will heal on some level if it be a emotional, physical or spiritual level.
One biggest faults of people doing healing work is they second guess if its working - or other words doubt. Once you doubt you loss
faith. You must have faith and trust it is working in order for it to work.
How do I know who is right for my to teach me or treat me? I do get e-mails and calls from those that are not near by for my
classes or sessions. Check out my page on "What to look for in a healer, teacher .. and follow the guidelines on what it says. Remember
once you have found a teacher, the simplest and best advice is to follow your heart. Listen to your inner voice ... Is this connection
right for me?
How many levels are there in Reiki? There are three levels.
The first level is level one. What is known as ‘healer heal thy self - before you heal others’. Which should be a practice for all that
do it professionally. Then there is level two. At this level you receive another attunement that will bring you into enough power to be
able to do stronger healing work. Also, you will be able to do distant healing. Then there is the third level. Which is considered the
Master level. This level you are able to give attunements.
What can I expect out of the first level class? In level one you will receive your first attunement. (in my description of the class
will give you all the things that I include in my class and more) Be shown ways of doing healing on self, others, plants and animals etc.
Discussion of what to expect during the first month. Which is inner healing work that will take place. This is called releasments.
What will I expect out of my second level class? You will receive your second attunement. (in my description of the class will give
you all the things that I include in my class and more) Learn the three of the five symbols for level two. Be shown how to use them in
your everyday life and in healing. Also, learn distant healing. Distant healing is sending healing energy to a person, animal etc that is
not present with you at that time. With the second attunement you have enough power and strength to send distant healing. Also, learn
ethical responsibility to do healing work on others and in distant healing. Be shown exercises to prepare the student if they want to
continue into the third level.
What should I expect out of my third level class? You will receive your third attunement. Learn the last of the symbols. Also, learn
how to pass an attunement. Each student would practice on other students in class on passing attunements. Discussion on teaching
Reiki and guidelines. My class description will give you all the things I include in this class.
Do I have to teach Reiki to go to the third level? No. Not all level three / Master level teach Reiki. It is designed to assist in the
raising your vibration level. To help in the awakening and enlightenment process. Some do it just for that empowerment. Also, to help
others and the earth.
Should Reiki be done to only people? NO. (big no!) everything needs it. We are the caregivers of the earth. Send healing to the
earth, plants, animals etc. Just by going outside - sitting down and directing your hands to the desired thing that you want the energy to
go to it will flow through.
Do I have to touch to do Reiki? No, very effective by being away from the person, plant etc. Actually, by staying away from the
body you work with more energy levels of the aura and at times more healing can take place. (also, if you are in Florida, with their laws
of touching and Massage Therapy - you are able to do Reiki if you stay away from the body 4 - 6 inches without having a LMT license)
Check with your state that you live in since most are adapting these types of laws.
What if I feel that I healed the issues with Reiki can or should I still use it? Yes. Reiki will enhance your life. It increases the
light energy/vibration rate. By doing the Reiki on the chakras, it will assist in the development of the energy centers.
How long should I wait in between each class? For level one it is recommended at least one month. The releasement / healing
within you must take place in order to properly channel this energy. Then waiting after level two at least six months. This is because
of the deeper levels of healing to take place. Also, the karmic healing to be healed. Practicing on healing others, self etc needs to
happen. The prep work for level two also needs to be done which takes time and done adequately before you start attunements.
What about the weekend courses for Reiki to do two or more levels at once? Not recommended. You have not learned and gotten
use to the energy nor it has within you. Also, the healing work did not take place within the person and all of the practicing,
apprenticing and mastering each level before starting another one. Only one that advanced from this was the Master and their pocket.
Not the student at all. Most students are not even channeling in proper energy without doing the inner work with all the levels that
was needed. Beware of those that are offering ‘quick fixes’ for degrees in Reiki or anything.
What is hot hands I hear about? Hot hands that people talk about are the energy that comes out of the chi/ki channel of a healer.
This is the higher vibration that is the healing energy. High vibration is warm to hot energy. Cold energy is a low vibration. You can
tell a Reiki practitioner by their hot hands.
Can anyone receive Reiki energy? Yes. Remember Reiki can not hurt you. The universe will shut the Reiki energy off that is being
channeled through. There is no manipulation of the tissue or body that should be taken place during a treatment. It is done hands on
the body or 'laying of the hands' on the body - by touch only - no pressure. There are certain symbol that would not be used by the
practitioner if a person has cancer, growth etc. & with the proper training they would learn that.
Can I catch something from someone by doing healing work? No. You can not catch a energy transference of an illness from
another. In my class I teach protecting your energy field while you are doing healing work on yourself or others. You can not catch
aids, cancer etc by doing healing work. These are the individuals that need you the most.
Should those that are terminally ill or near death receive Reiki? Yes. I could not stress enough importance on this. Remember
that it is up to Creator/Divine and the person in their soul contract when their crossing will be and when their lessons; including
illnesses etc will be. But the one thing that Reiki does is but the person that is receiving its blessings in a peaceful state if anything at
all. It calms them and puts them in peace. It will not take the individual to the other side, but will assist in the easing the fear of the
unknown that is there. I make it appoint to teach my students to do healing work on the sick, terminally ill and elderly individuals.
Also, attuning those that are at this stage will be great benefit to them. A deep inner peace usually takes place.
Is it safe for babies and children to receive Reiki? Yes. It is very safe for them to receive treatments. The only thing is that they do
not need as long of session of treatment as an adult does. There physical mass is smaller so they are not as dense mass as an adult. I
recommend for small children any where from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. Older children about 15 - 30 minutes for a treatment. I also
do attunements on children from birth and up in age. By doing so this allows for them to heal throughout their lives. It is a blessing to
see how they attune very fast - little hot hands.
Can I still use my other therapies that I do with Reiki? Yes. Reiki will enhance anything that you are doing and using. It increases
the power of the person that is channeling the energy. If its acupuncture, acupressure, crystals, essential oils etc, using Reiki with it will

Is Reiki safe? Yes, Reiki is very safe. Reiki energy is pure positive energy and can not do harm. It is safe for anyone and for any
situations including pregnant women and children.
What is the difference of Reiki from other forms of healing methods? Reiki is a form of healing that is channeled through the
practitioner that has received special attunements in order to channel in higher frequencies of energy.
Is Reiki a religion? No. It is not a religion. It is very spiritual in nature, but there is no belief required in order to learn and use it. The
beauty of Reiki is that it will work regardless of what you believe in.
What are Reiki Symbols? They are tools to help direct energy. The symbols are learned in levels two and three.
Is Reiki open to everyone? Yes everyone can be initiated into Reiki.
How is a Reiki treatment given? In a standard treatment Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. The client is
usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The client remains fully
clothed. The practitioner places her/his hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions. These include positions around
the head and shoulders, the stomach, and feet. Other, more specific positions may be used based on the clients needs. Each position is
held for three to ten minutes depending on how much Reiki the client needs at each position. The whole treatment usually lasts no
longer than an hour.
Can I treat myself with Reiki? Yes. If you received your Reiki I by laying on your hands on your body you can enjoy all the benefits
of Reiki. Self-healing will re-balance and center your body-mind-spirit connection.
How can one be attuned to Reiki? Reiki attunements are received from a Reiki Master who is channeling/passing Reiki
frequencies/energy into the initiates aura/energy body.
What can be treated with Reiki? Reiki has had a positive affect on all forms of illness and negative conditions. This includes minor
things like head or stomach aches, bee stings, colds, flu, tension and anxiety as well as serious illness like heart disease, cancer,
leukemia, etc. The side effects of regular medical treatments have also been reduced or eliminated. This includes the negative effects of
chemotherapy, post operative pain and depression as well as improving the healing rate and reducing the time needed to stay in the
hospital. Reiki always helps and in some cases people have experienced complete healings which have been confirmed by medical tests
before and after the Reiki treatments. However, while some have experienced miracles, they cannot be guaranteed. Stress reduction
with some improvement in ones physical and psychological condition are what most experience.
What does a Reiki treatment feel like? What one experiences during a Reiki treatment varies somewhat from person to person.
However, feelings of deep relaxation are usually felt by all. In addition, many feel a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and
surrounds them. As the Reiki energy encourages one to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings a state of peace and
well-being is experienced. Some drift off to sleep or report floating outside their bodies or have visions and other mystical experiences.
At the end of the treatment, one feels refreshed with a more positive and balanced outlook.
Can I treat myself? Yes, once you have received the attunement, you can treat yourself as well as others. This is one of the unique
features of Reiki.
I have heard that Reiki can be sent to others at a distance. How does this work? Yes, in Reiki II, you are given three Reiki
symbols. These symbols are empowered by the Reiki II attunement. One of these symbols is for distant healing. By using different
forms of proxies for the person and the a certain Reiki symbol for a activating the distant healing, you can send Reiki to them no matter
where they are. They could be hundreds of miles away, but it makes no difference. The Reiki energy will go to them and treat them.
You can also send Reiki to crisis situations or world leaders and the Reiki energy will help them too.
Can Reiki be used on animals and plants? Animals respond faster to Reiki than humans. Plants also respond well, because they are
living energy fields that can be out of balance.
Can children learn Reiki? Yes, Reiki can be taught to anyone. I recommend that a child be old enough to understand what Reiki is and
that the child request to receive Reiki.
Can Reiki be used with other therapies? Yes. It can be combined with other complementary therapies very successfully. Reiki will
enhance their effects. It can also be used to complement the health care you receive in hospitals or other health care providers.
Are there any sensations during or after the Reiki treatment? It depends on the individual. You might not feel anything, but this
does not mean that Reiki is not working . On the other hand, you might have sensations during or after the treatment such as: heat, cold,
tingling, buzzing, relaxation, sleepiness, or other. It is important to drink lots of water to aid the cleansing of the body.
